MG is a British brand with a long history and a place of affection for "older people" for making economical and sporty cars. The new Chinese owners of the brand seem determined to occupy a similar place in British hearts, albeit for a combination of value and practicality rather than sportiness.
The general reaction to the MG is that it's super quality and specification for the price. And that it's great quality and specification no matter what the price. The looks are a bit bland, but if that doesn't worry you the rest of the package is solid and there's great space inside too. Not the longest range, but it's perfectly sufficient for most people. We like it.
